Bio
Calum Crichton is a Due Diligence Analyst at Dark Alpha Capital, where he supports acquisition reviews through financial analysis, business valuations, and reconciliation of profit and loss and balance sheet performance. A Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS), Calum brings a strong background in audit, restructuring, and corporate finance across both the UK and international markets.
He began his career in audit with Grant Thornton and Ernst & Young (EY) in Scotland before moving to Australia, where he served as a Senior Analyst in restructuring at McGrathNicol. Upon returning to the UK, Calum took on roles in audit, due diligence, and corporate finance at Hazlewoods, advising clients on complex financial matters and transaction execution. In addition, he runs his own consulting practice, providing services in due diligence, valuations, tax planning, and professional accounting coaching.
Calum is recognized for combining rigorous financial analysis with strategic insight, helping private equity teams and operators evaluate risks and opportunities with clarity and precision.
