Role Summary
The Private Equity Analyst is a full-cycle deal execution operator working across origination, capital markets, and investment analysis. You will support the firm from initial target identification and outreach through financial evaluation, investor positioning, and transaction execution.
This is not a siloed role. You are expected to operate as a hybrid athlete, combining the sourcing discipline of an origination associate, the analytical rigor of an investment professional, and the narrative precision of a capital markets team member.
Your objective is to drive deals forward across the entire lifecycle: from first contact → qualified opportunity → diligence → investor engagement → closing.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deal Origination & Pipeline Development
- Build and maintain ICP-driven target lists by sector, geography, and ownership profile
- Execute multi-channel outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn) to business owners and intermediaries
- Qualify opportunities based on fit, size, timing, and intent
- Coordinate NDAs, request CIMs, and manage early-stage deal flow
- Maintain strict CRM discipline (Bitrix24/HubSpot) with real-time updates
- Track pipeline metrics across the full funnel (Lead → Meeting → NDA → CIM → LOI → Close)
2. Financial Analysis & Investment Evaluation
- Build and maintain financial models (3-statement, DCF, LBO-style frameworks as needed)
- Perform valuation analysis (DCF, Comparable Companies, Precedent Transactions)
- Analyze financial statements, KPIs, and operational performance
- Conduct industry and market research to support investment theses
- Identify key risks, sensitivities, and value creation opportunities
- Support development of investment memos and internal decision materials
3. Capital Markets & Investor Readiness
- Assist in preparing investor-facing materials (pitch decks, teasers, CIM summaries)
- Translate financial and operational data into a clear equity story
- Support investor outreach and qualification alongside Capital Markets team
- Maintain investor tracking systems and engagement notes
- Contribute to market comps, benchmarking, and positioning analysis
- Support diligence requests from debt and equity providers
4. Deal Execution & Due Diligence
- Coordinate diligence workflows across internal and external stakeholders
- Organize data rooms and track document requests
- Assist with legal, financial, and operational diligence processes
- Support transaction structuring discussions and closing readiness
- Ensure all deal materials are accurate, organized, and audit-ready
5. Market Intelligence & Process Improvement
- Monitor market activity, broker feeds, and competitor transactions
- Identify patterns across successful deals and sourcing channels
- Contribute to building repeatable playbooks, templates, and workflows
- Ensure compliance with MNPI, Reg FD principles, and data integrity standards
