Marketing Associate

Title: Marketing Associate Department / Team: Capital Markets Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-time; Non-exempt The Marketing Associate at Dark Alpha Capital serves as the technical engine of the firm’s investor engagement, managing the complex "plumbing" of outbound email systems. This role focuses on the high-stakes execution of multi-touch sequences targeting HNWIs and institutional partners, ensuring maximum inbox deliverability and conversion through rigorous A/B testing and CRM stewardship. It is a fast-paced, performance-driven position that bridges the gap between data enrichment and capital raising, requiring a blend of operational discipline, professional polish, and a deep understanding of outbound marketing technology.

About the Firm

We are an independent sponsor firm focused on sourcing and managing private investment opportunities. Our team partners with a broad network of debt and equity investors to fund transactions across diverse industries. We pride ourselves on fostering strong, lasting relationships and delivering high-value opportunities to our investor base.

Role Summary

The Marketing Associate is the engine behind our investor engagement. You are responsible for the daily execution of our mass-outreach sequences targeting High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs), Family Offices, and institutional partners. This is a technical marketing role focused on deliverability, engagement, and conversion. You will manage the "plumbing" of our outbound email systems, ensuring our deal teasers and firm updates land in investor inboxes and result in qualified discovery calls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaign Execution: Launch and manage multi-touch email sequences for live deals, platform updates, and general investor nurturing via Smartlead, Apollo, or Bitrix24.
  • Inbox Deliverability: Monitor sender reputation, manage domain rotations, and execute "warm-up" protocols to ensure maximum inbox placement.
  • A/B Testing: Continuously iterate on subject lines, email body copy, and Call-to-Actions (CTAs) to improve open and reply rates.
  • Lead Qualification: Review incoming replies, filter for intent, and book high-priority meetings for the VP of Marketing or Head of Capital Markets.
  • Data Enrichment: Work with the Data Research team to ensure investor lists are scrubbed, segmented by "investor type," and properly tagged within the CRM.
  • CRM Stewardship: Log all investor engagement, opt-outs, and follow-up tasks with 100% accuracy to maintain "clean" investor relations data.
  • Reporting: Provide weekly readouts on funnel metrics: Total Sent → Open Rate → Reply Rate → Meetings Booked.
  • Compliance: Adhere strictly to CAN-SPAM regulations and firm-wide protocols regarding the dissemination of private placement materials.

Qualifications

Required

  • 1–3 years of experience in outbound marketing, sales development (SDR/BDR), or email marketing operations.
  • Proficiency with outbound sequencing tools (e.g., Smartlead, Instantly, Apollo) and CRMs.
  • Strong written communication skills with a "less is more" approach to professional email copy.
  • High attention to detail—minor errors in investor-facing emails are unacceptable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment with daily activity targets.

Preferred

  • Experience in Finance, Real Estate, or Tech/SaaS outbound environments.
  • Basic understanding of Private Equity, LBOs, or capital-raising cycles.
  • Familiarity with "low-code" automation (Zapier/Make) to link marketing tools.

Skills and Competencies

  • Operational Discipline: The ability to manage 10+ concurrent sequences without losing track of follow-ups or data integrity.
  • Analytical Curiosity: A desire to "look under the hood" of campaign data to figure out why one deal teaser outperformed another.
  • Professional Polish: The ability to communicate with high-level investors in a manner that is respectful, concise, and credible.
  • Resilience: The mindset to handle high-volume outreach where "no" is the standard response on the path to a "yes."
