About Dark Alpha Capital Dark Alpha Capital is a private equity firm and independent sponsor specializing in lower-middle-market buyouts across business services, industrials, healthcare, manufacturing, and aerospace & defense. We're building a modern, data-driven investment platform that leverages automation, AI, and CRM systems to streamline deal origination, due diligence, and investor relations—creating efficiency and scale in our go-to-market and investment operations.

Role Overview We're seeking a passionate Go-to-Market (GTM) Engineer with strong skills in coding, systems integration, and marketing automation. You'll design, build, and maintain the technical backbone of our GTM stack—connecting marketing tools, CRMs, data pipelines, and AI triggers into a seamless, high-performance ecosystem that powers firm growth and deal flow.

Key Responsibilities

  • CRM Architecture & Automation Configure and optimize Bitrix24 (or similar CRM) for deal sourcing, lead management, and investor relations. Design automated workflows for lead routing, follow-ups, data enrichment, and nurturing using APIs, webhooks, and integration platforms. Develop custom dashboards and reporting tools to provide real-time pipeline visibility and performance insights.
  • Systems Integration & APIs Integrate and connect key tools including Smartlead.ai, Google Workspace, AWS SES, Make.com (Integromat), Zapier, and webform platforms (e.g., Tally.so, Google Forms). Automate inbound data flows from campaigns and forms, including AI-based screening triggers via OpenAI API. Manage secure, reliable data movement across systems to support marketing, sourcing, and investor workflows.
  • Data Infrastructure & GTM Stack Build structured data pipelines to unify information from CRMs, spreadsheets, APIs, and external sources. Configure marketing and email infrastructure (SMTP, IMAP, domain authentication, email warm-up) for optimal deliverability. Create visualization dashboards tracking deal flow, campaign performance, engagement metrics, and operational KPIs.
  • Security & Reliability Implement access controls, permission rules, audit logs, and data validation to ensure compliance and integrity. Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain system stability, scalability, and security. Document all workflows, integrations, and processes clearly (using version control like Git where applicable).

Required Qualifications Technical Skills

  • Proven experience with automation/integration platforms like Make.com, Zapier, or custom scripting (Python, Java, Node.js preferred).
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of CRM systems (Bitrix24, HubSpot, Monday.com, or equivalents).
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace APIs, AWS services, RESTful APIs, webhooks, and data integration patterns.
  • Understanding of marketing automation tools, including SMTP setup, email infrastructure, domain management, and deliverability best practices.
  • Bonus: Experience integrating OpenAI API or other AI/ML tools for automation and screening.

Professional Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Strong documentation habits and ability to maintain organized, scalable systems.
  • Effective communication and coordination across technical and business teams in a remote environment.
  • Fast learner, independent worker, and reliable under flexible deadlines.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in private equity, venture capital, investment firms, or financial services workflows.
  • Prior work scaling CRM/automation systems for lead generation, deal sourcing, or investor relations.
  • Exposure to data-driven GTM strategies in high-growth environments.

Ideal Background Graduates or professionals in Computer Engineering, Software Development, Information Systems, Data Science, or Marketing Technology (MarTech).

What You’ll Gain

  • Hands-on experience building real-world automation and GTM systems at the intersection of engineering and private equity.
  • Direct impact on a fast-growing investment firm's digital infrastructure and growth engine.
  • Flexible, results-oriented freelance engagement with potential to scale hours and compensation based on milestones and performance.
  • Collaboration with decision-makers in a dynamic, innovative team.
