Position Summary
As a Private Equity Associate (Capital Markets), you will own investor outreach and relationship development to fuel our capital-raising efforts. This outbound-focused role involves high-volume phone and email prospecting, lead qualification, appointment setting, CRM tracking, and collaboration to secure commitments for private equity and debt financings. Compensation is performance-driven: earn fees for every qualified appointment and bonuses on closed commitments. Ideal for self-starters with strong communication skills and a passion for finance/fundraising in a results-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities Investor Outreach & Relationship Building
- Conduct proactive outbound phone calls and targeted email campaigns to prospective and existing investors.
- Clearly articulate Dark Alpha Capital’s investment strategy, track record, and value proposition as an independent sponsor platform.
- Build rapport, handle objections, and nurture relationships to position opportunities effectively.
Lead Qualification & Appointment Setting
- Qualify leads against specific investor criteria (fit, capacity, interest in private opportunities).
- Schedule and confirm qualified appointments with decision-makers, consistently meeting or exceeding daily/weekly goals.
- Ensure smooth handoffs to senior leadership with detailed context and next steps.
CRM Management & Data Tracking
- Use CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Bitrix24) to log all interactions, update contacts, track outcomes, and assign follow-ups.
- Maintain organized, accurate records and report on activity metrics (calls, emails, appointments, conversions).
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner closely with senior leadership, deal teams, and internal stakeholders to align on presentations, follow-ups, and investor feedback.
- Share insights from investor conversations to refine outreach messaging, strategy, and investment positioning.
Performance & Targets
- Achieve individual KPIs for call/email volume, appointments set, and commitments secured.
- Continuously test and optimize outreach tactics to boost engagement, response rates, and conversion.
Qualifications Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field (preferred; not required).
- Prior experience in sales, business development, investor relations, fundraising, private equity capital raising, or similar outbound roles is a strong plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional verbal and written communication; confident, professional phone presence and email writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills to quickly build trust and rapport with high-level investors.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and results-driven—thrives in high-volume, independent outreach settings.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and productivity tools (MS Office/Google Workspace).
- Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail for tracking and follow-up.
